Gateway Animal Therapies has been set up by Ruth Lomax to provide a knowledgeable, safe and effective Holistic approach to Health and Healing for Animals who have problems not satisfactorily solved by Veterinary treatment. Areas generally covered are within 50 miles of Halifax, West Yorkshire.

A range of courses are also being gradually offered to train people to help their animals themselves.

"I first became aware of Ruth’s existence after picking up a couple of leaflets at Todmorden Show in 2004. I had already had experience of Bowen Therapy myself. Ruth treated a few of my horses and dogs over the coming months for a range of problems. She also treated my mother, her cat, Jeannie and myself.

In conclusion, I feel that Ruth’s complementary therapies have a lot to offer. They can be used alongside conventional treatments and Homeopathy. They can be particularly useful in problems perceived as “behavioural” for which conventional treatments do not have the answers. They are of obvious benefit in musculoskeletal conditions.

She has 20 years experience treating animals of all kinds and works alongside a vet or independently with veterinary permission. The therapies are suitable for any animal, any age and almost all conditions or situations. She also treats riders and owners and helps them with their own problems using Bowen, Energy Balancing and other therapies.
